Pugh Family Christmas

I was asked to take some holiday photos for a co-worker and his family this past weekend at High Point University where he is an alumni. First of all, let me say "what a beautiful family" and second of all, HPU is a magnificent campus. It really doesn't feel like a college campus at all. It was the perfect setting for some outdoor photographs.

Newborn session with Brooks

On Saturday, I went down to Charlotte to take some newborn/family pictures of some great friends. I had a great time with this family. There were so patient and a pleasure to work with. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Harper sure does love her little brother, Brooks.

 

Brooks was great to work with. To get shots like these you have to make sure: 1) they are "milk drunk" and 2) less than 10 days old.

This was my first attempt at taking newborn pictures. I was so happy with how they turned out and I look forward to taking more in the future.

 

 

Family Beach pictures

During the July 4th week I was able to take some family photos of my brother-in-law and his family. They turned out really well. I was so nervous because I didn't know what to expect with the sunlight at the beach.

 

I was so excited about the picture of Libby behind the fence. It turned out fantastic and I think they are going to use it for their Christmas card.

 

 

I really enjoy using some of the neat features in my photo editing software. That's how I was able to use the photo as black/white and pull out the pick in her dress and hairbow.

 

Nolan's 1st Dino-mite Birthday Party!!!

On May 19th, I was asked to take the pictures for Nolan's 1st birthday party. Everyone seemed to have an awesome time and the young boys had so much fun together. Here are some pictures from the party.

Nolan's 1st Birthday photo shoot.

On Sunday, May 6th I spent some time with this sweet boy taking some pictures to celebrate his upcoming 1st birthday. His mom was super prepared with cupcakes and a #1 candle, some colorful balls, and dinosaur figurines. We had a good time capturing this moment in Downtown Asheboro.

In Asheboro there is a train mural on the side of a building. We put Nolan on this train track and got some pictures. He is such a happy boy.

Not quite sure if this man is real or what? He was funny checking this man out.

What a fun morning spent with Nolan. He did a great job.
